In the first action since his Bayer Cropscience bellwether trials, Don Downing obtained a settlement of $873,000 on behalf of four Mississippi rice farmers in the latest rice contamination lawsuit against Germany based Bayer. While each farmer suffered different amounts of damages, the average settlement amount was in excess of $300 per acre.
